Tech Release /Team Lead DevOps

On behalf of our client, a global leader in third-party services provider, specializing in the sector of Technical Audits, Inspections, and Certifications, we are currently looking for a self-driven Tech Release/ Team Lead DevOps, to join its IT department at company’s HQs in Athens.

Your day-to-day

• Manage the internal DevOps team, overseeing software developers and quality assurance
• Take responsibility for the entire software release management lifecycle
• Coordinate releases, including prioritization, scheduling, planning, and execution, involving all stakeholders such as project managers, IT, and developers
• Act as a quality gate for software delivered by both internal and external developers, utilizing a combination of automated and manual random testing
• Release software after completion of testing and deployment stages, collaborating closely with application, development, and quality assurance experts
• Collaborate closely with the IT-applications team for seamless integration
• Continuously optimize the existing Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) processes

What you will need

• Hold a technical education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Demonstrate at least 3 years of proven experience in leading a team in a similar position
• Possess experience in object-oriented programming languages, database modeling, JavaScript frameworks, and CI/CD
• Have practical experience in software release management and execution
• Previous exposure to build, test, and continuous integration processes is advantageous
• Knowledge of agile software development and Unix systems is considered a plus
• Exhibit a settled and reliable personality with a strong inclination for client interaction
• Demonstrate a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Strong command of English, both oral and written
