Cloud Engineer (remote)

On behalf of our client, a growing software development company focusing on Big Data Analytics, we are currently looking for a self-driven Cloud Engineer, to drive its software development team to the next level.

A day in the life of a Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer, your day-to-day tasks will involve developing and maintaining software applications, managing infrastructure, and implementing cloud computing solutions. You will work with Linux systems and databases to ensure smooth data operations.

Your day-to-day

• Develop and maintain software applications for cloud environments
• Manage and optimize cloud-hosted infrastructure on AWS
• Implement and manage AWS services (e.g., RDS, EC2, EMR, EKS)
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud infrastructure and applications
• Collaborate with the development team to design and deploy new features
• Perform regular updates and maintenance on Linux systems
• Manage databases to ensure smooth data operations
• Implement security measures and best practices for cloud environments
• Document processes and procedures for cloud infrastructure management
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project status
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members

What you will need

• 3+ years experience managing cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS)
• Proven hands-on experience on AWS Services (e.g., RDS, EC2, EMR, EKS)
• Software Development and Infrastructure skills
• Experience in Cloud Computing
• Proficiency in Linux systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
