On behalf of our client, a fast-growing fintech UK software company that offers short-term financing to Amazon sellers, we are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their Development team in Athens.
A day in the life of a DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer, you will help the team maintain and scale the company's cloud-based infrastructure.
Your day-to-day
- Contributing to the architectural and implementation decisions of our evolving container-based cloud infrastructure
- Defining appropriate metrics to monitor the performance of our web platforms
- Proactively monitoring and reporting on network policy violations and data breaches
- Creating build/test/deploy pipelines and other scripts to automate daily tasks
What you will need
- Bachelor Degree in fields such as Computer Science or Engineering
- 3+ years of working experience in a DevOps Engineer role
- Exposure to AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3 etc)
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis
- Command line administration of Linux based systems
- CI/CD & Automation (e.g. Jenkins)
- Good knowledge of Git and branching strategies
- Familiarity with microservices architectures
- Agile mentality & feeling comfortable while scrumming
