On behalf of our client, an international and fast – growing company holding one of the most innovative trading platforms globally, we are currently looking for a passionate Ηead of DevOps, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a Head of DevOps

You will be an expert of ensuring business continuity and service excellence in a rapidly evolving, highly technical environment. You will need to have both great technical skills to find solutions themselves but also inspiring leadership capacity to grow the team and improve the quality of services.

Your day-to-day

• Setting up & configuring apps, running production scripts, managing deployments, off-market operations and KPIs reporting
• 24/7 Monitoring of all applications: tracing issues proactively, triaging and liaising with Product Owners till solutions are deployed to improve service quality
• Supervising the 3rd Level / Technical Support function servicing internal and external end-users
• Introducing tools, processes and best practices to improve service quality aiming for 99.99% uptime
• Improving knowledge transfer & business continuity by diligent documentation
• Hiring, onboarding, mentoring and leading by example the technical operations team of 4 members

What you will need

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a strong technical background
• As much experience in: Linux, Java/Spring/Microservices, .Net, Angular, nginx, Apache Server, RabbitMQ, SQL, Jenkins, CI/CD, Git, Graylog, Dockers, Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
• Can-do attitude and strong leadership skills with proven track record of bringing results though leading team
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, as well as high attention to detail
• Ability to quickly intuit the needs of the business and respond accordingly
• Available on-call out-of-office hours (in case of emergencies)
