On behalf of our client, one of the biggest and most innovative Insurance companies in Greece, we are currently looking for a self-driven Software QA Lead, to join its digital transformation team.

 A day in the life of a Software QA Lead

You will be an expert in leading the efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient. To this extend, you will be responsible for all aspects of quality control throughout the software development cycle (from requirements capture to feature deployment) collaborating with software engineers, business analysts and vendor partners.

Your day-to-day

• Leading, coordinating, and facilitating cross-functional teams of business analysts and software engineers through the software life cycle
• Working with company’s management in adapting the BDD testing framework and influence teams to invest in test automation
• Utilising appropriate aspects of agile methodology to control and manage test cycles and to deliver quality software
• Providing consistent and clear communication of software quality goals, overall QA progress/status to project teams, sponsor and executives
• Monitoring and measuring progress on all release management & automated software quality activities and issues
• Providing leadership, coaching and professional development to team members
• Being responsible for development of test strategies in the org and creation of appropriate automation test harnesses
• Providing recommendations on how new technologies and processes could help improve the team

What you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of experience leading/managing teams
• Demonstrated ability to work with remote distributed teams
• Proven ability to work in an agile environment
• Hands on experience in automation and in BDD Framework
• Experienced in writing Gherkin language
• Familiar with performance and load testing
• Analytical skills in defining QA strategy and related benefits
• Ability to express vision in diverse audiences

Great to have

• Good to have experience in a pure development role
• Good to have experience in Devops (docker, Jenkins/azure Devops, etc)
