On behalf of our client, a cutting-edge Software Applications and Telecommunications company, we are currently looking for a highly driven Junior Application Engineer to become a vital member of a well-versed and highly skilled engineering team. 

A day in the life of a Junior Application Engineer

You will be a valuable member of a talented software team that develops, maintain, and support an internal platform, utilizing Java stack.

Your day to day

• Optimize applications performance and recommend software upgrades for existing systems
• Monitor and improve application reliability and present innovative ideas for system improvements
• Review requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations
• Interface with vendors for technical analysis & implementation. Testing (Test Books/SIT/UAT) of the web service/API projects
• Develop test plans and procedure documents
• Development of microsites using web technologies
• Implementation of promos running in the mobile operator using JAVA
• Troubleshoot operational and customer reported issues

What you will need

• BSc/MSc in computer science, engineering, or any other relevant degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Java development
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux based systems
