IT Assistant Manager/Team Leader

On behalf of our client, a leader company in operations and maintenance in Greece, we are currently looking for a self-driven IT Assistant Manager/Team Leader, to join its IT team.

 A day in the life of an IT Assistant Manager/Team Leader

You will be acting as the right hand of the IT Manager and you will manage a group of 6 people responsible for the company’s infrastructure (User Support, Systems & Networks, hardware & software).

Your day-to-day

• Managing daily operations and maintenance schedules
• Ensuring continuous operation of company’s functions and network systems via daily monitoring and maintenance 
• Effective daily IT technical support provisioning on multiple sites
• Managing contracts with IT vendors and subcontractors (both software & hardware)
• Following up and endorsing IT-policies and processes related to security, infrastructure and network, and maintaining the related documentation
• Exploring & suggesting enhancements and solutions for the IT infrastructure
• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans
• Mapping, defining, maintaining and monitoring LAN, WAN and VPN company connections
• Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing systems logs, applications logs and reports, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs

What you will need

• University or College Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Information Systems administration
• Advanced knowledge and proven experience in enterprise IT systems and network technologies:
• Microsoft Enterprise Platforms (Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, SQL, etc)
• VMWare Virtualization Platform and Backup/Archive solutions
• Disaster Recovery design and implementation
• Network equipment
• Data center Infrastructure equipment
• Firewall and Web Filtering administration
• IT Security

Great to have

• Fortinet Firewalls knowledge will be considered a plus
• Certifications in technology fields such as MCSE/MCSA, VMWare and CCNA will be considered a plus
• Able to work under strict deadlines and tough technical challenges with professional attitude and effectively customer service orientation problem-solving skills
