Java Developer

On behalf of our client, a US based leading communications and IT services provider that leverages its global network platform to provide fully connected systems that harness technologies and applications to transform what remote operations can achieve, we are looking a self-driven Java Developer to join its team of product development in Greece.

A day in the life of a ‘Java Developer’

You will develop and deliver next-generation communication products over a variety of common and highly specialized communication paths working independently, actively, and confidently promoting improvements, and incorporating new technologies, throughout the lifecycle of each product.

Your day-to-day

• Analyze, design, and develop applications, microservices, and API endpoints
• Design and implement data structures using the most appropriate database/storage type
• Analyze application performance using various tools and techniques
• Identify improvement areas and recommend design changes for maintaining operational excellence 

What you will need

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, however experience and skillset will be considered
• At least 3 years of experience in designing, building and testing large scale software systems with Java
• Strong knowledge of Spring
• Experience in SQL and caching databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis)
• Familiarity with microservices
• Experience in designing REST APIs
• Knowledge of Backend Frameworks (e.g., Spring Βoot, Hibernate) and AWS will be considered as a huge plus
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity working as a member of an Agile team
