Java Developer

On behalf of our client, a leading company that delivers global state-of-the-art eHealth solutions, we are currently looking for a self-driven Senior Java Developer, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a ‘Senior Java Developer’

You are responsible for gathering system and user requirements, building Java modules, and testing features before release. With hands-on experience developing software with agile methodologies and ready to mentor junior developers.

Your day-to-day

• Identify and analyze user requirements
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
• Develop Java web based applications
• Write well-designed, efficient code
• Participate in the design database architecture
• Schedule product releases with internal teams
• Document development phases
• Ensure applications are secure and up-to-date

What you will need

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, however experience and skillset will be considered
• At least 5 years of experience in OOP, designing, building and testing large scale software systems with Java
• Familiar with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Database systems and PL/SQL
• Experience in consuming or designing APIs (REST/SOAP)
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
• Familiarity working as a member of an Agile team
