Senior Java Developer

On behalf of our client, an international technology innovator with a broad portfolio of software products and services, we are currently looking for a self-driven Senior Java Developer to join their dynamic team based in Athens.

A day in the life of a 'Senior Java Developer'

You are an inspired professional that will be part of highly skilled teams who design, develop, deploy, and support complex Information Systems for the company’s customers. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of technologies to develop a solid background in the field of applications development.

Your day-to-day

• Identify and analyze user requirements
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
• Develop Java EE applications
• Write well-designed, efficient code
• Review, test and debug team members' code
• Design database architecture
• Schedule product releases with internal teams
• Document development phases
• Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date

What you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or any relevant field
• At least 3 years of experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications
• Experience in Java frameworks such as Spring
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design patterns
• SQL knowledge, preferably in Oracle data base (11g/12c) or MySQL
• SOA implementations (SOAP, REST, JMS, JAX/RS, JAX/WS)
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical and application problems
• English speaker and writer
