On behalf of our client, the leading web agency in Greece with international activity, we are currently looking for a talented Java Developer, to join its development team in Athens.

A day in the life of a ‘Java Developer’

You will focus on the development of a complexed web application, addition of new features to existing product and you will be committed to implement solutions to meet challenging and advanced requirements. You will work together with the other members of the Development Team and maintain an open communication with the Company’s Project Management, to ensure high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate must be able to punctually deliver functional custom components and verify that the deliverables meet all technical requirements. You will report to the Team Leader to ensure that delivery times and quality standards are met.

Your day-to-day

  • Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
  • Design, develop and maintain new software features and web applications
  • Improve functionality and performance of the existing products
  • Troubleshooting of production software - Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
  • Collaborate proactively, share knowledge and experiences for product improvements
  • Maintain the highest code quality standards 

What you will need

  • At least 2+ years of development Java experience
  • BSc in computer science, engineering, or any other relevant degree
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Maven and SQL
  • Familiar with building & managing a microservices architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of RDBMs such MySQL
  • Experience in Git source control system
  • Experience in JavaScript is a strong plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
