On behalf of our client, a global leader company in Oil & Gas industry, we are currently looking for a Project Control Planner, to join the technical team in Komotini, Greece.

A day in the life of a Control Project Planner

You will be responsible for the implementation and management of Planning, Progress Measurement and Reporting System. Support the decision process of Project Management aiming to complete the Project in accordance with the Project Baseline and targets. Ensure that any deviation from the plan is prompt identified and analyzed, completion dates properly estimated, and the effect of corrective actions monitored.

Your day-to-day

  • Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with corporate guidelines, project scope and contractual requirements
  • Support the Project Control Manager (PJM) in the definition of Project Control Plan, Planning and Scheduling Procedure, Progress Measurement Procedure and Reporting Procedure
  • Be responsible for Project Baseline preparation, Schedule Basis narrative preparation including Critical Path Analysis, Progress S-Curves and Histograms
  • Be responsible for set up of the Progress Measurement System for all applicable Project Phases (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning)
  • Monitor and control Project Schedule and Progress, provide current status update and analysis to relevant stakeholders (i.e., Project Management and Client)
  • Participate in the Risk Management process and Risk impact estimation
  • In accordance with corporate guidelines and specific contract requirements, perform the schedule qualitative and risk analysis of the program using the appropriate software and prepare relevant reports.

What you'll need

  • Master/Polytechnic degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of practical experience with consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project control and accurate competences of project management techniques and tools
  • Principles of project planning activities (WBS, baseline, current forecast, critical path, early, late, ecc.). Standard planning techniques and methodology necessary to build up a critical path network, adapting them to the context of the Projects.
  • Knowledge of monitoring methodologies for manhours, material and construction quantities, in order to control the project progress and related costs and to evaluate the activities efficiency and KPI.
  • Knowledge of Contractual aspects and procedures in subcontracted activities. Cost and quantity monitoring activities as per contractual terms and conditions for Subcontract
  • Good communication in English (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
