Senior Cloud Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leader in the shipping industry, with a presence all around the globe, we are currently looking for a self-driven Senior Cloud Engineer, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a Senior Cloud Engineer

You will be part of a multinational team of Cloud Engineer and you will be an expert in installing, planning, design, development, management, maintenance, and support of the company’s applications on Cloud or associated infrastructures.

Your day-to-day

• Being responsible for the evaluation of cloud strategy and program architecture
• Gathering system requirements working together with application architects and owners
• Generating scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources
• Architecting, designing, implementing, supporting, and evaluating Cloud tools and services, developing and interoperating security policies and procedures, advising and consulting on risk assessments
• Constantly exploring new solutions and technologies, integrating learning and recommendations into the development process
• Specializing in the best practice design, operations, and support of private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure including Network, Storage, Compute and Security
• Recommending new services to complement and enhance infrastructure elements to streamline and support applications development and deployment

What you will need

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineer, Information Technology or related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in designing/implementation/consulting of large-scale private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions
• Proven work experience with Azure services (AWS services nice to have)
• Solid foundation and background in Microsoft products and technologies
• Experience on building and managing Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and Release Management workflows
• Demonstrate Strong technical skills in enterprise application integrations and Microsoft Azure technologies
