QA Test EngineerOur client, a global technology company providing smart infrastructure and IoT solutions for the utilities sector, is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join its growing QA team in Greece.
The Role
This role involves hands-on testing activities to support the integration, testing, and quality assurance of cutting-edge IoT/software solutions for the utilities sector. Working closely with the local QA Manager and cross-functional teams, you will collaborate with production and external vendors, with a clear focus on ensuring product robustness, compliance, and long-term field performance - even under harsh conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define test procedures, test plans, and test cases for both new product development and product modifications, ensuring alignment with standards, directives, and client requirements
- Execute test cases and document results accurately, raising defects and performing root cause analysis
- Support production launch activities and collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve field or process-related quality issues
- Maintain and manage testing equipment and ensure availability of test materials locally
- Collaborate with external vendors on test execution, reporting, and defect tracking
- Work closely with the QA Manager and wider integration team to ensure the testing approach supports successful solution rollout
What You'll Bring
- Experience in software/hardware/system testing (manual or automated)
- Strong problem-solving and investigation skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with defined processes and following structured test documentation
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across QA, Production, and external teams
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Degree in Information Technology or Engineering
- Test-related certifications (e.g. ISTQB)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL) and Linux systems
- Industry knowledge (utilities, IoT, smart devices, telecoms)
- Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks
