On behalf of our client, a growing software development company specializing in end-to-end big data solutions, we are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimization of infrastructure and delivery pipelines. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to shape reliability and performance standards while mentoring junior team members in an agile big data environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fully automated deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Orchestrate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems for stability and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams on deployment strategies.
- Apply security best practices, including secure configuration and access control.
- Mentor junior DevOps colleagues and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Keep abreast of emerging DevOps tools, methodologies, and trends.
Must have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps or equivalent roles.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration background.
- Solid expertise with the AWS cloud platform.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell).
- Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Airflow).
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines, APIs, and microservices within cloud-native environments.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or CKA.
