On behalf of our client, a global leader in Semiconductor Consulting, we are looking for a Senior Digital Layout - Physical Design Engineer to join their international team of successful engineers. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Greece, collaborating with their Thessaloniki Design Center setup, offering the opportunity to work in a global setup with major semiconductor companies.
Your day to day
You will work in a global setup to manage and execute physical design projects for major semiconductor companies. The work focuses on high-growth markets including automotive, telecommunications, security, and networking. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of the physical design flow, from RTL to GDS, including floor planning, place and route, and final tape-out.
What you will bring
- Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Physical Design (P&R), including timing closure and physical verification.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/BE/ME/M.Tech).
- Technical Skills: Design experience in all aspects of physical design: synthesis, floor planning, Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), extraction, and Power/Signal Integrity Analysis.
- Tools: Expert knowledge of Synopsys IC-Compiler or Cadence Innovus, and proficiency with the Synopsys Tool Suite (DC/ICC/Star/PT).
- Technologies: Proven experience working with process nodes at 90nm and below.
- Key Pluses: Experience with Mentor Calibre for physical verification, ANSYS Redhawk for IR analysis, and scripting skills in Tcl/Tk, PERL, or Makefile.
- Communication: Excellent English & Greek skills (at least B2 level) with the ability to abstract technical details and interface effectively with Front End teams.
