On behalf of our client, a SaaS startup, we are looking for a Software Engineer for Platform integrations to join their team.

The company is building the future of healthcare workflow automation, enabling healthcare organizations to connect their systems and automate critical operational processes.

 

A day in the life of the Platform Integration Engineer:

The engineering team builds integrations directly in code using TypeScript end-to-end, creating scalable connectors between healthcare systems and the platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role, where you will design, build, and maintain production-grade integrations with external systems.As a Software Engineer you will design and implement secure, scalable integrations connecting healthcare applications and APIs to the platform. You will work primarily with TypeScript / Node.js, building connectors, implementing authentication flows, handling data transformations, and ensuring integrations are reliable and maintainable. Your work will directly impact how healthcare organizations automate operations and improve patient experiences.

Your day-to-day:

  • Build and maintain production-grade integrations in TypeScript
  • Design and implement API clients and connectors (REST, GraphQL, SOAP)
  • Implement authentication flows such as OAuth2, API keys, and JWT
  • Develop and improve the company’s Connector SDK
  • Implement data mapping, transformation, and synchronization logic
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex integrations with external systems
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to understand API capabilities and integration requirements
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Contribute to improving the platform’s integration architecture

What you will need:

  • Strong backend engineering experience
  • Solid experience with TypeScript / Node.js (or strong backend experience and willingness to work primarily in TypeScript)
  • Experience building API integrations in code
  • Strong understanding of HTTP APIs, web protocols, and authentication
  • Hands-on experience with OAuth2, API keys, JWT or similar authentication mechanisms
  • Experience debugging and working with third-party APIs
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

  • Experience building integration platforms or connectors
  • Experience working with healthcare APIs (FHIR, HL7)
  • Experience integrating complex third-party enterprise systems
  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments
