On behalf of our client, a leading healthcare facilities management software provider, we are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join their team in Cyprus.

A day in the life of the Android Developer

As an Android developer, you will be a part of the product development team, testing new features using the latest mobile technologies and frameworks, ensuring your code is clean, scalable, and performance-oriented. Throughout the day, you perform code reviews, debug issues, and refactor code, while sharing your knowledge with the team and staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Your day-to-day

  • Work with the latest mobile technologies & frameworks   
  • Develop and test quality features from start to end using best practices and according to our standards   
  • Write clean, testable code and deliver fit for the purpose solutions   
  • Proactively ensure scalability and performance of the deliverables   
  • Perform code reviews, test, and debug   
  • Refactor code   
  • Share knowledge within the team   
  • Participate in the daily standup with the team   
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments

What you will need

  • Experience using Kotlin
  • Good understanding of the Android SDK i.e. Views, ways to get data from the web and store data, adapting apps for different screen sizes   
  • Knowledge of SQLite, Realm or similar   
  • Unit & UI testing experience   
  • Good usage of Android Studio   
  • Familiar with mobile product and design lifecycles   
  • Familiar with versioning tools
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and problem-solving abilities   
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language

Nice to have

  •  Xamarin / C#
  •  Jetpack Compose
  •  RXKotlin
  •  Swift / iOS development experience
