On behalf of our client, a leader in business-to-customer transaction technologies with over 35 years of experience across Central and Eastern Europe, we are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join a dynamic team working on innovative transaction and customer experience solutions.

 

The company provides advanced technology across various sectors—from unattended self-service machines and parcel delivery systems to digital onboarding and e-signature platforms. The mission is to make digital transactions safer, faster, and more seamless, while supporting operational efficiency and compliance for a wide range of enterprise clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the stable operation and ongoing support of enterprise-grade software applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze functional requirements and deliver configuration changes or feature enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Handle day-to-day incident management and troubleshooting (L1 & L2 support), efficiently resolving issues and escalating when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to execute and validate test scenarios during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases prior to production rollouts.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including system workflows, setup instructions, and user-facing manuals.
  • Identify patterns in recurring issues and contribute to long-term improvements in application performance and support processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and operational goals.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required (Master’s degree is a strong plus).
  • 4+ years of professional experience in application support, system configuration, or software delivery roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database systems, with a strong command of Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or newer).
  • Experience managing and configuring Windows Server environments and IIS application servers.
  • Exposure to modern web applications using Angular (frontend) and .NET Core (backend) technologies.
  • Familiarity with automated testing (integration, functional, or UI testing tools) is considered an advantage.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, with the ability to approach problems methodically and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to changing business demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
