Civil Engineer (Construction) - Athens, On-site

Our client is a leading construction company delivering infrastructure projects across Greece. The role exists to bring experienced engineering leadership to a project portfolio that demands technical precision, tight cost control and reliable delivery.

The Role

You will oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and design through to execution and handover, keeping teams, subcontractors and timelines aligned at every stage. In your first six months, you will take ownership of at least one active project, establish a clear reporting rhythm and demonstrate that quality and compliance are non-negotiable on your watch. You will be the person on site when decisions need to be made.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of civil engineering experience on construction or infrastructure projects
• Solid understanding of building regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to manage project teams and subcontractors effectively
• Strong cost monitoring and budget control skills
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience with BIM software or project management tools
• Background in large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction
• Familiarity with EU-funded construction projects and related compliance frameworks
