Cloud Architect - Athens, Hybrid (3-2)

Our client is a fast-growing tech company scaling its cloud infrastructure to support ambitious product growth and increasing operational complexity. The role exists to bring senior architectural leadership to a cloud function that needs someone who can assess what exists, design what comes next and own the strategy that connects the two.

The Role

You will design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure or GCP, working closely with development teams to make sure architecture decisions serve both current requirements and future scale. In your first six months, you will conduct a thorough assessment of the existing cloud landscape, identify the most critical gaps in scalability, cost efficiency and security, and deliver a clear architectural roadmap the business can execute against. You will be the person whose decisions the engineering organisation builds on.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of cloud engineering or architecture experience with a strong track record in senior or lead roles
• Deep hands-on expertise across at least one major cloud platform, AWS, Azure or GCP
• Proven ability to design cloud governance models and enforce best practices at scale
• Strong understanding of cloud security, cost optimisation and high availability architecture
• Experience collaborating with development teams and translating business requirements into infrastructure decisions

Nice to Have

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent certification
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Background in FinOps and cloud cost management frameworks
