On behalf of our client in airline industry, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Operations Engineer to join their growing team and help protect the digital backbone of airline operations, passenger systems, and flight safety.
Day to day
As part of our Cyber Defense team, you'll be on the front lines of our digital battlefield, monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats across the organization.
- Monitor daily security events and alerts across our infrastructure.
- Detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats and incidents in real time.
- Configure and tune our SIEM platform and fine-tune detection logic.
- Investigate and triage security events; collect logs, files, and digital artifacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams during incident response to ensure rapid containment and recovery.
- Maintain and enhance our cyber-defense tools (IPS, firewalls, DLP, Tenable Security Center, etc.).
- Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on impact and exposure.
- Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and post-incident documentation.
- Educate affected users on recommended actions and cybersecurity best practices.
- Own and maintain up-to-date playbooks and response procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate with external security teams
What you need Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional fluency in Greek and English (both written and spoken).
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
Technical Expertise
- Strong grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6), OSI layers, and LAN technologies.
- Experience with security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Tenable Security Center).
- Solid knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux
- Familiarity with VPN, anomaly detection, and incident ticketing systems.
