Electrical design engineer (On-site)
Electrical EngineerAbout the company
A well-established engineering consultancy with a broad portfolio spanning building design, infrastructure, and technical studies across Greece. The Electromechanical Design Department handles complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept through to construction documentation — electrical and mechanical engineers work in close coordination throughout. This position opens as the department's project load continues to grow.
The role
You'll lead electrical studies for building projects — from power distribution and LV/MV system design through to full installation documentation. You'll work alongside mechanical engineers on coordinated electromechanical deliverables, and be the go-to person for electrical decisions on the projects you own. The expectation from day one is that you can run studies independently and manage the technical output without close supervision.
What you will bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (TEI or Polytechnic School)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience producing electrical studies for building projects
- Solid background in LV/MV system design — power distribution, protection coordination, load calculations
- Proficient in AutoCAD for construction-level electrical documentation
- Comfortable using engineering calculation and design software for system analysis
- Able to coordinate directly with mechanical engineers and project managers on multidisciplinary deliverables
Nice to have
- Experience with MV/HV substation design
- Familiarity with Greek grid connection procedures (DEDDIE/ADMIE)
- BIM or 3D coordination experience
What's in it for you
You will be joining the biggest consulting company in engineering, and the biggest team of engineers at their Electromechanical Design Department at Thessaloniki. There are 2 options of full-time cooperation, depending on your needs and aspirations: B2B contract (x12) or as full-time company employee (x14), in both cases the IKA insurance is paid by the company. The role is on-site, with private insurance included.
Projects involved: Varied portfolio across large-scale projects in private and public sector, collaborating with major business groups, international companies, and the most important public sector agencies.
