Head of Reward & HR Operations - Athens, On-site

HR Manager
Permanent
Athens

A leading pharmaceutical company with strong international presence and its own manufacturing footprint, where reward and HR operations sit at the heart of how the business attracts, pays, and supports its people. They're now looking for a Head of Reward & HR Operations to own that agenda end-to-end.

Your Day-to-Day

In this role, you'll shape and execute the total reward strategy that helps the company attract and retain talent in a competitive market, while owning the operational backbone that keeps the employee experience running smoothly. You'll design and manage compensation structures, salary review cycles, bonus schemes, job grading, and the full benefits portfolio — from pension and medical to fleet and mobile. You'll own corporate payroll and the HR operating budget, liaise with auditors, and lead the selection and management of third-party providers across reward and operations. Your day-to-day will also involve overseeing HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, developing policies that scale, ensuring compliance with labor law, and acting as the go-to expert for workforce cost and reward decisions. You'll lead and grow your team, partner closely with Finance, Legal, and business leaders, and own the HRIS and payroll systems that make all of this possible.

What You Will Bring

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a structured Reward function
  • Proven experience designing and managing Total Rewards programs end-to-end
  • Strong knowledge of Greek labor law and employment regulations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll management, benefits administration, and job grading methodologies
  • Experience managing HR budgets and operating expenses with strong cost control
  • Solid analytical and financial acumen, comfortable with workforce cost modeling
  • Proficiency in HR systems and advanced Excel; working knowledge of Power BI and dashboards
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive data
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field; Master's in HR or MBA is a plus
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

What's in It for You

You'll join a senior leadership role with ownership of both strategy and execution, a team to lead and develop, and direct partnership with Finance, Legal, and business leadership. The package is competitive and aligned with the seniority of the role, with benefits that reflect the company's investment in its people.
