Information Security Analyst - Athens, Hybrid (3-2)
Security AnalystOur client is a prominent financial institution managing sensitive data and complex IT infrastructure under increasing regulatory scrutiny from NIS2 and DORA. The role exists to strengthen their security posture as the threat landscape evolves and compliance expectations continue to rise.
The Role
You will monitor network and system activity, conduct vulnerability assessments and investigate security incidents, working closely with IT teams to enforce protocols and close gaps before they become breaches. In your first six months, you will develop a thorough understanding of the existing security environment, deliver at least one meaningful improvement to the organisation's threat detection capability and establish yourself as the person who keeps security awareness sharp across the business. You will be the analyst who spots what others miss.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of information security experience in a financial services or similarly regulated environment
- Solid hands-on experience monitoring networks, conducting vulnerability assessments and managing incident response
- Strong understanding of security protocols, risk assessment methodologies and data protection requirements
- Experience investigating security incidents, containing their impact and documenting findings clearly
- Comfortable delivering security awareness training and engaging non-technical colleagues on best practices
Nice to Have
- CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience working within NIS2 or DORA compliance frameworks
- Background in financial services security or regulatory audit support
