IT Network Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading organization in the energy and utilities sector, we are looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join their team.

Role Overview: In this role, you will ensure the optimal performance, security, and reliability of IT network systems, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, implementing changes and upgrades, monitoring infrastructure KPIs, and providing technical support for fault detection and resolution. You will also play a key part in the organization’s transition toward hybrid environments and cloud integration.

Your day to day:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure network efficiency and uptime
• Implement infrastructure changes and upgrades following change management processes
• Monitor connectivity, availability, and network KPIs
• Detect, identify, and resolve IT infrastructure faults
• Support hybrid environment initiatives and cloud service integrations
• Measure and analyze network traffic and performance metrics
• Manage relationships with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT networking
• Strong knowledge of Network Security, Cisco, and Fortinet NGFW
• Experience with cloud platforms (MS Azure, AWS) and third-party cloud networking (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
