IT Operations Engineer
2nd Level SupportIT Operations Engineer, Metamorfosi, Hybrid (3–2)
A fast-growing digital solutions provider, based in Metamorfosi delivering modern, scalable cloud-based applications for international clients, is seeking an IT Operations Engineer. The role is open due to continued expansion of engineering teams and increasing demand for reliable DevOps and cloud operations support across production environments.
The Role
You will act as the primary owner of production stability and system reliability, ensuring high availability across cloud services. In your first months, you will get deep visibility into the existing production environment, strengthen observability, and help improve incident response processes.
You’ll be responsible for the full incident lifecycle — from detection and troubleshooting through to root cause analysis and prevention. Beyond reactive support, you’ll also focus heavily on automation, reducing manual operational effort, and improving system resilience.
A key part of your role will be acting as a technical bridge between development and operations, while also supporting client-facing technical escalations when needed.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or Systems Operations roles (L2/L3)
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field (MSc preferred)
- Hands-on experience supporting production applications in public cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also considered)
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, App Insights, Dynatrace, Logstash, or similar)
- Proven experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in production environments
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL) and proficiency in KQL for log analytics
- Scripting ability for operational automation (Bash and/or PowerShell)
- Working knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for troubleshooting and operational tasks
- Familiarity with .NET/ASP.NET application environments is a strong plus
- Experience with ticketing systems and managing technical escalations
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both engineers and clients
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with .NET / ASP.NET environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
- Exposure to cloud-native DevOps practices at scale
What’s in it for You
A monthly gross salary of €2,500 – €3,500, along with a hybrid working model (3 days in-office in Metamorfosi / 2 days remote). You’ll also receive a ticket restaurant allowance, private health insurance, and a structured Learning & Development plan.
You’ll be joining a modern engineering environment with strong focus on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement, working on international cloud applications and large-scale DevOps systems.
