Junior JavaScript Developer

Our client, a leading provider of telecommunications network design, construction, and maintenance services, is seeking a Junior JavaScript Developer to join its team based in Athens.

The Role

This is a well-rounded junior role with exposure to the full lifecycle of a solution, from analysing business requirements through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will focus on building and evolving internal web and business applications using modern JavaScript technologies, working closely with business users, IT, and other teams across the company. The role is open to candidates with up to one year of relevant experience, as well as recent graduates with a solid technical foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal web and business applications using React.js, Next.js, and Node.js
• Build and support integrations and REST APIs
• Support data management and reporting, including SQL queries and data checks
• Participate in testing and deployment activities
• Provide user support and act as a liaison between business users and IT
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and processes

What You’ll Bring

• Up to one year of relevant experience, or a recent degree with a solid technical foundation; internships, university, or personal development projects are taken into account
• Good foundation in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Familiarity with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Git
• Basic understanding of testing and deployment / CI/CD concepts
• Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset
• Very good command of Greek and English

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of or exposure to PostgreSQL
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure 
• Experience with process automation or workflows
• Relevant Microsoft, development, or cloud certifications
