Machine Learning EngineerOn behalf of our client, a cutting-edge provider of data intelligence solutions for the global maritime industry we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Machine Learning / AI Engineer to join their growing software development team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to work on a robust, cloud-native analytics platform powered by Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and modern ML/LLMops practices. You’ll be part of a collaborative and innovative team, contributing directly to AI-driven solutions that impact global maritime operations.
Your day to day
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models in a production environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Own the entire ML lifecycle, including monitoring, retraining, and performance optimization.
- Support and mentor team members on best practices in ML/AI development and deployment.
- Contribute to continuous innovation in maritime analytics through applied research and experimentation.
Must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML/AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with ML/LLMops tools (e.g. MLFlow, Databricks) and the Azure ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Big Data and streaming technologies (e.g. Apache Spark, Kafka).
- Skilled in CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic systems.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Agile methodology experience (Scrum preferred).
