Network & Security Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading industrial company with a strong focus on innovation and operational excellence, we are seeking a skilled Network & Security Engineer to join their IT team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure while ensuring robust information security practices and compliance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.

The role spans network engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and IT infrastructure management, supporting both corporate operations and secure connectivity across multiple sites.

Your Day-to-Day

• Manage and maintain corporate LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security incidents.
• Implement and configure security policies on firewalls (experience with Palo Alto preferred).
• Participate in ISO 27001 compliance initiatives, including access control, risk management, and infrastructure security.
• Conduct technical security controls such as network segmentation, IDS/IPS, and system hardening.
• Support security audits, monitor logs and alerts, and provide reporting via SIEM or other monitoring tools.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network engineering or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with firewalls and network security appliances (Palo Alto preferred).
• Understanding of security frameworks, particularly ISO 27001.
• Experience in access control, patching, backup/restore, and business continuity practices.
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
• Certifications like CCNA or CEH and familiarity with monitoring tools (Cortex XDR, Grafana, Zabbix) are a big plus.
