Power BI Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading European flexible packaging manufacturer, producing innovative packaging films used in the food industry, we are looking for BI Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions, with a primary focus on Power BI reporting and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for business users
• Translate business requirements into clear, effective data visualizations
• Build and optimize data models in Power BI (relationships, measures, calculated columns)
• Write and maintain DAX measures to support business logic and KPIs
• Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, SharePoint, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance of reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on report designs
• Perform basic data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and metrics
• Support scheduled refreshes, workspace management, and access permissions in Power BI Service
• (Nice to have) Create or maintain simple Power Apps to support data capture or workflow needs
• Work with other data, analytics, or IT team members to align BI solutions with data architecture standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role
• Proven experience with Power BI
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, facts, dimensions)
• Convenience in DAX for calculations and measures
• Experience working with SQL (writing queries, joins, aggregations)
• Ability to work with multiple data sources and formats
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power Apps (building basic forms or apps connected to data sources)
• Familiarity with Power Automate
• Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
