The Role
Stepping into a position of high authority, you will lead the Tactical Communications Section, overseeing a team of ~10 experienced Engineers. This role is designed for a top-tier C++ expert who bridges the gap between complex high-level architecture and hands-on technical mentorship. - Technical Authority: Act as the lead architect for tactical systems, ensuring the highest standards of C++ performance and reliability.
- Leadership & Growth: Manage a team of ~10 senior engineers, driving technical quality through rigorous code reviews and mentorship.
- Strategic Delivery: Navigate complex, multi-year projects using structured Waterfall methodologies within a high-compliance environment.
- Cross-Functional Representation: Act as the software lead in high-level meetings with Directors and Heads of Engineering.
- Hands-on Oversight: Maintain daily technical engagement; you will stay "in the weeds" to solve the most complex architectural bottlenecks.
What You Bring
- Mastery of C++: 10+ years of experience, with the presence and expertise to act as the "Top Expert" for the team.
- Leadership Pedigree: 3+ years of experience managing senior-level engineering teams.
- Linux Ecosystem: Deep experience in Linux programming and its complete development ecosystem.
- Modern Pipelines: A strong understanding of software engineering pipelines with a specific emphasis on DevSecOps (Security-first CI/CD).
- Domain Expertise: Proven background in telecommunications or tactical/defense communications systems.
- Academic Foundation: A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
Desired Skills (Great to Have)
- Proficient knowledge of Network Programming.
- Deep understanding of the IP stack and network applications.
What's in it for You
- Hybrid Structure: To maintain the high-security standards and collaborative nature of defense engineering, the role follows a 4-day office / 1-day home schedule.
- Financials: Up to €64,000 gross annual salary + an additional Annual Allowance (Card).
- Executive Perks: Company car, private insurance from Day 1, and dedicated company parking at the Koropi facility.
- On-site Amenities: Low-cost staff restaurant and a modern, secure working environment.
- Stability: A permanent, multi-year career path within a growing organization at the forefront of global defense.
