Process Safety Engineer
Process EngineerOur client, a leading health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) consulting firm, is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join its team based in Athens.
The Role
The successful candidate will join the Health & Safety Studies Department, taking ownership of Seveso studies and industrial risk analyses for clients operating high hazard installations. The role involves close collaboration with client facilities, regulatory bodies, and internal technical teams to ensure full compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Seveso studies in accordance with current legislation
- Conduct and participate in HAZOP, HAZID and other risk analysis studies
- Develop workplace safety studies, including Occupational Risk Assessments, ATEX studies, and Emergency Response Plans
- Manage the submission and approval process of studies with the relevant authorities, where required
- Conduct Safety Audits at client facilities
- Carry out physical and chemical agent measurements at client facilities
What You'll Bring
- Engineering degree (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent Polytechnic qualification
- Proven experience in preparing Seveso studies
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and requirements for Seveso installations
- Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple projects and diverse subject areas
- Strong communication skills and decision making ability
- Very good knowledge of English
Nice to Have
- Experience preparing HAZOP, HAZID, ATEX and other industrial safety studies
- Experience in safety and environmental studies
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
