Project Manager - Development Department-Athens, On-site
Construction EngineerAn Athens-based company operating at the intersection of hospitality, culture, and urban experience, with an active portfolio spanning coworking, parking and mobility services, and visitor attractions. A new cultural attraction in Kerameikos is currently in development and due to launch soon. The Development Department is a small, hands-on team responsible for all capital investment projects — new builds, exhibitions, and renovations — and this hire will take individual ownership of projects within that programme.
The roleA client-side project management role with real ownership. You'll carry projects from design development through to handover, acting as the owner's representative at every stage — managing contractors and consultants, controlling budgets and timelines, and coordinating permits and technical documentation. The project mix is genuinely varied: new building construction, exhibition fit-outs, and facility renovations, all within Athens and all with a cultural or visitor-experience dimension.
What you will bring- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in construction project management (3+ years)— client-side or developer-side experience strongly preferred over contracting or consultancy
- Strong working knowledge of the Greek construction market, local regulations, and permitting processes
- Fluent in both Greek and English — project reporting is required in both languages
- Organised and direct: comfortable managing multiple active projects and making decisions without hand-holding
- Strong negotiation skills — you'll be managing contractors and consultants on the owner's behalf
- PRINCE2 or equivalent PM certification
- Experience with hospitality, cultural, or visitor attraction projects
- Exposure to listed buildings or heritage-sensitive construction environments
