SAP Business Applications Expert

Our client is a premier, research-driven European pharmaceutical company and one of the fastest-growing generic and specialty pharma developers and manufacturers in the region, operating state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing facilities and distributing globally.

The role exists to strengthen their Corporate IT Business Applications & Systems Validation team, taking charge of end-to-end delivery, functional support, and continuous improvement across their core enterprise SAP ecosystem and associated business platforms.

The Role

As a SAP Business Applications Expert, you will own the coordination, functional analysis, and delivery of core SAP initiatives with a primary focus on SAP SD. You will serve as the central link between internal commercial/operational stakeholders, corporate IT/Basis teams, and external SAP technology partners.

Within your first six months, you will take full ownership of business application change requests, streamline supply chain and sales distribution processes, and support critical milestone activities including legacy SAP CRM functionality migration into SAP ERP/SD.

Key Responsibilities

• Project & Change Ownership: Lead assigned SAP and Business Applications projects, enhancements, and change initiatives from initial requirements definition and functional specification design through to testing and production deployment

• Functional & Technical Alignment: Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, handle basic parameterization/configuration, and manage user access rights/authorizations

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Coordinate end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation across commercial, HR, and enterprise applications

• Vendor & Team Coordination: Manage external SAP implementation partners/vendors while coordinating effectively with internal IT and Basis teams

• System Transitions: Support SAP CRM transition and migration activities to SAP ERP/SD until full decommissioning, while contributing to cross-functional SAP initiatives across other modules

• Compliance & Validation: Facilitate Computerized Systems Validation (CSV) deliverables, user access administration, and audit-readiness tasks in strict accordance with corporate quality guidelines and GMP regulatory standards

What You'll Bring

• Experience Level: Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in SAP applications, including support, implementation, enhancements, and project activities (Mid-to-Senior individual contributor profile)

• Core ERP Expertise: Strong functional experience in SAP ERP business processes, with primary experience and configuration background in SAP SD (ECC)

• Technical & Functional Acumen: Proven track record in requirements gathering, functional specifications, basic parameterization, user access rights administration, and UAT coordination

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience managing external SAP partners/vendors and collaborating with internal cross-functional IT/Basis teams

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field

• Languages: Fluent Greek and strong professional English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors / SF LMS (training provided)

• Experience with CRM-to-ERP migrations

• Prior exposure to pharmaceutical or regulated environments involving CSV (Computerized Systems Validation) and GMP compliance

• Cross-module exposure to other SAP modules (e.g., MM, PP, QM, EWM)
