Senior Databricks Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading European consultancy specializing in data, AI, and cloud-based solutions, we are seeking a Databricks Engineer to join their growing team in Athens.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and design tailored Databricks solutions
• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using Spark, Delta Lake, and Databricks-native tools
• Contribute across project areas including cloud engineering, infrastructure, advanced analytics, and generative AI use cases
• Present results, insights, and technical concepts to stakeholders and management
• Occasionally travel to Switzerland and other international locations to collaborate with clients and internal teams

Your profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong expertise in Databricks and the Apache Spark ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, MLflow, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows
• Experience working with large-scale datasets, streaming data, and databases
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as SQL, Python, PySpark, or Scala
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP
• A down-to-earth, pragmatic, and results-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English
