We are looking for a Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer to join their R&D team and contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of innovative embedded products.
The Role
You'll become part of a highly skilled international R&D team responsible for developing advanced embedded hardware and IoT solutions.
Working across the full product development lifecycle, you'll design and develop electronic systems and PCBs, work with RF and low-power communication technologies, troubleshoot complex hardware issues, and collaborate closely with embedded software and other engineering teams to deliver reliable products for a global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including analog and digital circuits and PCBs
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document electronic products throughout the product lifecycle
- Design and optimize PCBs, preferably using Altium Designer
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and validation
- Work with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- Work with RF and low-power communication technologies, including LoRa, BLE, and NB-IoT
- Contribute to RF design, antenna development, impedance matching, and RF measurements
- Support product testing, test automation, and continuous improvement of development processes
- Ensure technical documentation, requirements, and deliverables are completed throughout the development lifecycle
What You'll Bring
- BSc or MSc in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in PCB design, preferably with Altium
- 5+ years of experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Strong hands-on experience in hardware testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other laboratory equipment
- Good understanding of RF and low-power communication technologies
- Strong knowledge of PCB design principles, including impedance matching and PCB stack-up
- Experience in RF electronics design, measurement, and testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity analysis
- Hands-on experience with SMT production processes
- Experience with antenna design, RF simulation, and RF testing
- Knowledge of EMC, RED, CE, ETSI, and FCC requirements
- Experience with STM32 or MSP430 microcontrollers
- Knowledge of Embedded C and firmware development
- Experience with the IAR toolchain
- Familiarity with LTspice or PSpice
- Experience with embedded testing and test automation
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with mechatronic products, sensors, and mechanical/electronic interfaces
- German language skills
