Senior Environmental Engineer (On-site)
Environmental EngineerAbout the company
A leading engineering consultancy based in Athens — the largest in its field in Greece — with a broad portfolio covering environmental licensing for private and public projects across all categories. The Environmental Studies & Licensing department is one of the firm's core practice areas, handling complex permitting processes for projects of significant scale and regulatory complexity.
The role
You'll join an established Environmental Studies & Licensing team as a senior contributor, taking ownership of environmental documentation and EIA (ΜΠΕ) preparation from scoping through to authority approval. Beyond your own casework, you'll coordinate directly with regulators and stakeholders and act as a point of reference for less experienced team members — reviewing their work, answering technical questions, and helping them develop.
What you will bring
- Degree in Engineering or a university-level qualification in Environmental Sciences or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental studies and permitting processes
- Excellent command of Greek environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks — able to navigate permitting processes independently
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Comfortable presenting to and coordinating with public authorities and project stakeholders
Nice to have
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience
- Study/design license — Category 27
What's in it for you
You will be joining the biggest consulting company in engineering, and their valuable Environmental Studies & Licensing Department at Athens. There are 2 options of full-time cooperation, depending on your needs and aspirations: B2B contract (x12) or as full-time company employee (x14), in both cases the IKA insurance is paid by the company. The role is on-site, with private insurance included.
