On behalf of our client, a leading Greek engineering and construction group with nearly 30 years of experience, we are looking for a Site Engineer (one Electrical and one Mechanical engineer) to support a major industrial construction project at Corinth. If you have hands-on experience in industrial sites and want to grow your career in a structured, high-quality environment, this role is for you. The company delivers industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects in Greece and abroad, specializing in industrial engineering, M/E installations, production-line assembly, and turnkey facility relocations.
The Site Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical Engineer) will meet the needs for construction supervision, quality control, and time management on a major industrial project of the company.
Day to Day
- Project Monitoring & Supervision: Attend construction sites to monitor work progress. Manage supplies and materials and resolve issues that arise during the work.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work is carried out according to technical specifications and quality standards. Inspect and approve materials and construction processes. Maintain an excellent appearance of the construction site.
- Scheduling & Time Management: Ensure that tasks are completed within the predetermined timeframes and that the project progresses according to schedule.
- Health & Safety: Supervise compliance with workplace health and safety rules and ensure that all personnel follow these regulations.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain contact with the project manager and provide reports on project progress, any issues, and budget adherence. Communicate as needed with client representatives and various company departments.
- Collaboration with Other Professionals: Work with project stakeholders such as architects, engineers, technical consultants, construction teams, and suppliers to coordinate work and resolve technical issues.
- Measurements & Quantifications: Perform preliminary and final measurements of work and required materials for orders, as well as prepare client and subcontractor accounts.
- ERP System Updates: Update the ERP system for the projects under supervision regarding purchase orders and certifications.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in industrial projects. Specialized experience in piping, ducting, industrial machinery installation, and fitting is considered an advantage.
What you need:
- Education as Mechanical Engineer (University or Technical Institute) OR Electrical Engineer.
- 5+ years experience in construction, industrial projects required:
- -for Mechanical engineer role: piping, ducting, machinery installation, or similar;
- -for Electrical engineer role: experience in industrial electrical installations, strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, cable routing, panels, automation.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office & AutoCAD.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members and other professionals.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and manage tasks efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address problems and find solutions during projects.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to changes and unexpected situations.
- Good Judgment: Ability to make decisions based on logical criteria and data analysis.
- Availability/Flexibility: for trips/projects all-over Greece and possible abroad projects in future.
