SQL Developer - Athens, Hybrid (3-2)

Our client is a leader in data solutions building the database architecture that powers business analytics and data-driven decision-making at scale. The role exists to bring senior-level expertise to a data infrastructure that needs to perform reliably under growing demand.

The Role

You will design, optimise and maintain complex SQL databases, working closely with data analysts to make sure the architecture supports the insights the business depends on. In your first six months, you will audit the existing database structures, tackle the most pressing performance bottlenecks and establish clear standards for query optimisation and data integrity across the team. You will be the person the organisation turns to when data needs to be fast, clean and trustworthy.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL development experience in a senior or lead capacity
• Deep expertise in query optimisation, stored procedures and database design
• Strong understanding of data integrity, security protocols and compliance requirements
• Experience collaborating with data analysts and translating reporting needs into robust database solutions
• Systematic approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based database platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL or Google Cloud SQL
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• Background in performance tuning at enterprise scale
