System & Network Engineer
Other/EngineeringOur client is a fast-growing managed IT services provider supporting enterprise retail and logistics companies, keeping their infrastructure running around the clock.
With a growing portfolio of client environments, they are adding a System & Network Engineer to their Marousi team: someone equally comfortable inside a server room and inside a firewall config, who wants variety rather than a single narrow stack.
The Role
In this role you will install, configure and maintain servers, switches, routers and firewalls across a portfolio of client environments. You will be the person who gets to the root of an issue instead of just closing the ticket.
Over your first few months you will learn each client's landscape, take ownership of a set of accounts and lead at least one infrastructure upgrade from planning to handover.
Expect a healthy mix of project work, day-to-day operations and occasional escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain servers, switches, routers and firewalls across multiple client environments
- Investigate system and network incidents through to their root cause, not just the quick fix
- Act as the main technical point of contact for your own set of client accounts
- Plan and lead infrastructure upgrades from planning through to handover
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory and Linux systems
- Manage firewalls, VPNs and VLANs to keep client networks secure and well segmented
- Handle escalations and explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in system and network administration
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and basic Linux administration
- Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPNs and firewall management (Fortinet, Cisco or similar)
- Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
- A structured approach to troubleshooting and clear communication with non-technical users
Nice to Have
- CCNA, Fortinet NSE or Microsoft certifications
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
- Experience working for an MSP or in a multi-client environment
What's in It for You
€2,200 – €3,000 Gross / Month, depending on experience, along with private health insurance, monthly meal vouchers, a company laptop and mobile, and a paid certification budget. The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the Marousi office.
This is an opportunity to work across many different environments and keep adding certifications as you grow.
