WordPress Developer

On behalf of our client, an innovative digital agency focused on Digital Marketing and eCommerce solutions, we are currently looking for a passionate WordPress Developer, to join its dynamic team.

 A day in the life of a ‘WordPress Developer’

You will join the development team and deliver attractive and functional websites based on the WordPress platform. You will be responsible for building websites for the clientele, aiming in creating a user-friendly environment by writing code. We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design.

What you will need

• 2-3+ years of development experience with WordPress
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Understanding the structure of WordPress CMS, including MySQL integration
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
• Knowledge of WordPress hooks and template hierarchy
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector, Firebug etc.
• Developing for cross browser compatibility
• Troubleshoot content issues (JS/CSS)
• E-shop development with WooCommerce
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
• Fulfilled military obligations (for men)
• Fluent in English

 Nice to Have

• Experience working with MongoDB, SQLite, NoSQL
• Experience with CSS pre-processors (SCSS)
• Experience with Laravel Framework
• Basic understanding of React.js framework
• Page Speed Optimization
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience with cache plugins. Understanding of different caching layers
• Familiarity with designing tools like Figma, Adobe XD
• Cloudflare / DNS configuration, hosting setup
