As part of its continued digital evolution, we are looking for an AI & Data Engineer to join the team in Athens. Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions & ERP, you will play a key role in designing and delivering data-driven and AI-powered solutions that support business operations across an international Oil & Gas organization.

The Role

As an AI & Data Engineer, you will contribute to the development of modern data platforms, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled business solutions using Microsoft's technology ecosystem and other enterprise platforms. 

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, you will help build scalable data pipelines, develop analytics capabilities, and implement AI solutions that improve business processes, reporting, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy data platforms and AI-driven solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, relational databases, and data models supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows to ingest, transform, and manage structured and unstructured data
  • Create automation, business applications, and AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, SAP, and related tools
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of digital and AI solutions
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, security, and governance across all implemented solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and data-driven decision making

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 1 - 4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Development, or a similar technical role
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modelling
  • Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure services, Power Platform, or Copilot Studio
  • Programming experience with Python or another modern programming language
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and/or Generative AI concepts
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

  • Experience with APIs, system integrations, and automation tools
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architectures
  • Understanding of business processes within enterprise environments
