Applied AI Engineer

On behalf of our client,a global online trading platform providing access to forex, commodities, equities, and other financial instruments, we are seeking talented Applied AI Engineers.

About the role

As an Applied AI Engineer, you will be responsible for creating impactful applications leveraging GenAI technologies for both internal and client-facing use. You will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end, production-ready AI systems.

Your day to day

• Design, develop, and maintain intelligent backend systems combining LLMs, retrieval systems, and custom APIs with high performance, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in team discussions and conduct code reviews, ensuring high standards in code quality, security, and maintainability (testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation)
• Stay current with GenAI trends, researching and integrating new technologies such as vector databases, agent frameworks, and LLM observability tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally with front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver robust end-to-end solutions
• Monitor and enhance existing AI systems, improving performance, cost efficiency, and scalability

Must have 

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of backend development experience (Golang preferred, Java or Python also acceptable)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade GenAI applications
• Strong understanding of vector databases and semantic retrieval techniques
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, APIs, and related tooling
• Experience with agentic architectures and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Genkit)
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and cloud deployment
• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration with product and program teams
• Experience in optimizing, monitoring, and testing LLM-based systems
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous innovation
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, SQS)
• Familiarity with LLM observability tools (e.g., LangFuse) and tracing frameworks
• Experience building pipelines for model evaluation and continuous improvement
• Portfolio of open-source contributions, side projects, or technical content
