Cloud Engineer

Our client is a travel technology company whose booking and reservation platforms serve airlines, hotels and tour operators across Europe.

They are completing their move from on-premise data centres to the public cloud, and they are hiring a Cloud Engineer to help build and run what comes next.

The Role

You will provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure, migrate workloads and keep environments secure, cost-efficient and well monitored. Working closely with development and operations teams, you will help make deployments faster and more reliable.

Within your first six months you will take part in migrating a set of core applications to the cloud, automate the build of new environments and help put cost visibility and alerting in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure and maintain infrastructure on AWS or Azure
• Migrate core applications from on-premise data centres to the cloud
• Automate the build of new environments with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Set up monitoring, logging, backup and alerting
• Put cost visibility in place and keep environments cost-efficient
• Work with development and operations teams to speed up deployments

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure (compute, networking, storage, IAM)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Good Linux skills and familiarity with scripting (Bash or Python)
• Understanding of monitoring, logging and backup in cloud environments

Nice to Have

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Background in cloud migration projects

What's in It for You

€2,400 – €3,300 Gross / Month, depending on experience, along with private health insurance, travel discounts and a yearly certification budget. The role is hybrid in Kallithea, Athens, with 2 days in the office.
