Cloud Platform Engineer, Marousi (4-1)

Our client an award-winning FinTech - InsureTech company with international presence, is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join their highly empowered team of dynamic and talented professionals, in Marousi. 

About the role

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. This role involves deploying updates and fixes, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating tasks through scripting, performing root cause analysis for production incidents, and proactively resolving technical challenges within our cloud environment. 

In your first six months, you’ll get up to speed with the existing hybrid/cloud architecture, support Kubernetes and container environments, and contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. You’ll also help enhance observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and troubleshoot production issues in a high-scale environment.

What you will bring

• A minimum of 5 years of combined work experience in a Software Development role or a related position
• A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in a Cloud Platform Engineer role or a similar software engineering position with a strong focus on cloud operations and practical experience working with container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes
• Proven proficiency in utilizing Git for version control and implementing effective Git workflows
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Shell scripting and Python for automation within a cloud context
• Sound knowledge of database systems and SQL for data management and troubleshooting in the cloud
• Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud provider
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, for managing cloud resources
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues within the cloud platform
• Would be a plus if there is experience in designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems within a cloud environment

What’s in  for you

Monthly gross salary in the range of €3,800–€4,600, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus scheme. Hybrid working model (4 days from home, 1 day in-office in Marousi. Additional benefits include private health insurance and customized training plan.
