IT Security Specialist - Athens, On-site

Our client is a leading financial services provider managing sensitive digital assets and complex IT infrastructure that demands the highest standards of security and compliance. The role exists to strengthen their cybersecurity capability as the threat landscape intensifies and regulatory requirements under NIS2 and DORA continue to drive expectations upward.

The Role

You will design and implement security measures across the organisation's IT systems, run vulnerability assessments and be the first line of response when incidents arise. In your first six months, you will conduct a thorough security audit, identify the most critical exposure points and put a mitigation roadmap in place that the business can act on with confidence. You will be the person the organisation trusts when the integrity of their systems is on the line.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity roles
• Solid hands-on experience with vulnerability assessments, security audits and incident response
• Strong understanding of network security, threat monitoring and risk mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to financial services environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams and communicate security risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• CISSP, CISM or equivalent security certification
• Experience working within NIS2 or DORA compliance environments
• Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries
