On behalf of our client, a leading company specializing in the design, construction, and supply of intelligent connected lighting systems for public and private infrastructures (roads, tunnels, squares, pedestrian areas, parks, outdoor, and indoor spaces, sports facilities, etc.), we are currently seeking for a Network Engineer to join the Public Sector Projects team.

A day in the life of a Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, your daily journey is a dynamic blend of technical expertise.

Your day-to-day

 

  • Provide hands-on technical support in the field (Field) for network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network problems promptly to minimize downtime
  • Install passive and active network equipment, ensuring proper setup and connectivity
  • Configure and parameterize active network equipment to meet performance and security requirements
  • Install new telephone connections from providers, ensuring seamless communication services
  • Stay updated on next-generation network technologies (ADSL, VDSL, SHDSL, FTTH) and implement them as needed
  • Apply knowledge of information technology and telecommunications systems to optimize network functionality
  • Utilize expertise in LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
  • Use computers and MS Office for documentation, reporting, and analysis
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Communicate effectively in both Greek and English, both in writing and verbally
  • Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and clients, ensuring clear and concise communication
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in various work environments

 

What you will need

  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Possession of Cisco certification (CCNA - Wifi)
  • Degree from a University (AEI), Technological Educational Institute (TEI), or Vocational Training Institute (IEK) in a technological field
  • Providing technical support in the field (Field)
  • Installation of passive and active network equipment and configuration of active equipment. Installation of new telephone connections from providers
  • Knowledge of next-generation networks (ADSL, VDSL, SHDSL, FTTH)
  • Knowledge of information technology and telecommunications systems. Desired knowledge of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless Links & Access Points)
  • Proficient use of computers and MS Office
  • Good command of both the Greek and English languages
