On behalf of our client, an award-winning FinTech - InsureTech company with international presence, we are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their highly empowered team of dynamic and talented professionals.

A day in the life of a QA Automation Engineer

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the web portal and backend systems, which include Java, Kotlin, APIs, databases, Kafka, and RabbitMQ. As a QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop test cases, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. More specifically, you will need to focus on the following pillars:

Testing Activities

  • Design, create, execute and maintain manual test cases
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Identify, report, and track bugs through resolution

Automation & Framework

  • Contribute to test automation framework development
  • Maintain existing automated test suites
  • Create reusable test components
  • Implement best practices in test automation

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, retros)
  • Work closely with developers for bug verification
  • Collaborate with Product team to understand requirements
  • Provide testing estimates for user stories
  • Review test results with team members

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing
  • Strong manual testing fundamentals
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured or similar)
  • Understanding of SQL and database concepts
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
  • CI/CD understanding and experience
