Senior Backend .NET Engineer - Athens, Hybrid (3-2) / Remote / On-site

A fast-growing digital solutions provider specializing in the design and delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications for a diverse portfolio of international clients, is looking for a Senior Backend .NET Engineer. The company focuses on building scalable, high-performance digital products while fostering a collaborative environment across development, UX/UI, and project management teams.

The role

Develop high-performance web applications and backend systems using .NET technologies, while building and maintaining integrations with external systems and web services. Design and implement new features and components for existing client solutions, delivering updates, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple projects. Participate in technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders, and collaborate closely with Project Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Support teams, providing guidance and support to junior developers when needed. Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, ensuring all deliverables meet technical requirements, quality standards, and timelines.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development roles
• Strong expertise in C# and ASP.NET MVC (.NET 5+ is a plus)
• Solid understanding of web technologies (client-server architecture, web services, SOA)
• Experience with Visual Studio and Git version control
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and secure coding practices (OWASP)
• Familiarity with HTML5 and general frontend concepts
• Experience with CMS platforms (Umbraco, Sitecore, or Kentico) is a strong advantage
• Experience working with Docker or containerized environments is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English
